Turning off that little voice ...
How to turn off that little voice in you head, telling you that you are not enough.
“To fall in love with yourself is the first secret to happiness.” -
Robert Morley
We often hear people telling others to love themselves. Although it seems only natural that you would love yourself, why does it feel so difficult sometimes?
We are often our own worst critics.
We all have a little voice in our mind that loves to remind us of our flaws and causes us to compare ourselves to other people. If we change the narrative from negative and start focusing on healthy thoughts and activities, loving ourselves will become much easier.
If we believe that we are worthy of self-love, it will grow every day. Life is beautiful, imperfections and all.
Learning to love yourself is one of the most important things you can do. When you focus on giving yourself some love too, it changes everything, from your relationships, your career, your
health and/or any other thing that you are wanting to attract into your life.
Everyone has their own favourite way of feeling self-love. It may be pampering yourself with your favourite body care products, getting out for a walk in the woods, taking some time
to reflect by the lake….
Self-love can also include fitness, yoga, meditation, hot or cold showers, listening to music, enjoying a cup of tea while reading your favourite novel, buying a new outfit, watching a movie,
treating yourself to a spa day or good food.
Self-love isn’t really just about pampering yourself. It can also be simply telling yourself, “I am worth it, and I deserve love”.
Let’s decide to start learning how to control our negative thoughts, decreasing the judgment.
Let’s learn to forgive ourselves and others too. This is the beauty of loving yourself.
There are many ways to go about it, feel it, and live it. Take the first step, you will never regret it.
